What is the breather valve?

Breather valve refers to a type of valve that not only ensures the isolation of storage tank space from the atmosphere within a certain pressure range, but also allows for communication with the atmosphere (breather) when the pressure exceeds or falls below this range. Its function is to prevent damage to the storage tank due to overpressure or vacuum, while reducing the evaporation loss of the storage liquid. Setting up a breather valve can not only reduce gas emissions inside the tank, thereby reducing atmospheric pollution, but also prevent damage to the storage tank due to overpressure or instability caused by vacuum, playing a certain promoting role in safety and environmental protection.

The breather valve mainly consists of a valve seat, a valve cover, a protective cover, and two sets of opening and closing devices controlled by vacuum and pressure. The opening and closing device includes valve disc, guide rod, spring, spring seat, and sealing ring, etc. When the pressure inside the tank reaches the rated positive exhalation pressure, the pressure valve disc opens and the vapor inside the tank is discharged; When the vacuum degree inside the tank reaches the rated suction negative pressure, the vacuum valve disc opens and air enters.

What is the flame arrester?

A flame arrester is a safety device used to prevent the spread of flames from flammable gases and flammable liquid vapors. A device generally installed in pipelines transporting combustible gases or ventilated tanks to prevent the spread of flames (detonation or detonation) from passing through, consisting of a flame arrester core, flame arrester housing, and accessories.

Flame arresters are also commonly used in pipelines that transport flammable gases. If flammable gas is ignited, the gas flame will spread to the entire pipeline network. To prevent this danger from occurring, flame arresters should also be used. Flame arresters can also be used on pipelines with open flame equipment to prevent flashback accidents. But it cannot prevent the open flame combustion of flammable gases and liquids.
